A week ago it was VBS time again… one of our favorite times of the summer! This year the church hosting VBS had a sports theme and all their crafts, games, plays, lessons and songs were sporty (they even did some cheer leading). They gave each child a shirt, and the kids LOVED them. They wore them every day that week. This picture is from the first day, when Tessa insisted on wearing a tiara.
Each "team" (class) was assigned the name of a major league baseball team. Tessa team was the Boston Red Sox. This is really hilarious because Rogene's favorite team is the Toronto Blue Jays, which are the arch rivals of the Boston Red Sox. (Uncle Darryl's favorite team is the Boston Red Sox.)
We were so lucky this year, one girl from Tessa's ballet class and one girl from Tessa's preschool were on the same team.
Tessa's most favorite part was the music with all the motions and dancing. (Look for Tessa in the center of the video. She is wearing her tiara.)
(Lyrics from the song on the video.)
Sign me up
I'm ready to go
Ready to obey when God says so
Sign me up
tell me what I need to know
Cause I'm not afraid to follow… and obey
Sign me up today!
Lord I wanna be on your team
Like the Bible prophets, apostles and kings
Train me up in the way I should go
So I can become a hero
On Thursday night the whole family is invited to come see what kids have been learning all week long. We got to do crafts, sing songs, watch some drama, have snacks and say the memory verse and pledge of allegiance.
Craft time.
Finished airplane.

All this VBS fun makes Tessa sleeeeeeeepy.
